We got back to Baxter Institute around 3pm today. We went to Catacamus for a couple of days. We toured Predisan, Cerepa, and a home for disabled children. Predisan is a Christian founded outreach hosipital. They have a really nice place. One thing I thought was really cool about it is that they don't turn anyone away for financial reasons. Next we went to Cerepa. It's a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation center. We took a tour, ate lunch and hung out for a little bit. Rachel and I met a few of the guys and later, I shot some hoops with a few. It was a lot of fun. the guys were great and it was easy to see that they went to change their lives and many of them (if not all) are believers in Christ. After, we went to a home for disabled children. It broke my heart to hear the stories about how many of them had just been abandoned by their families. I got to spend some time with one of the girls. Her name is Maria and is 5 years old. She is absolutely adorable! She is confined to a wheelchair and the only word I heard her say was "hola". I played some games with her and tried teaching her some words. But I just didn't have enough time with her to really make a difference. Now we're back at Baxter and I'm soo glad! some of us girls were playing cards in the caf and a few of our new friends came in. They were soo excited to see it. We all really missed them and they missed us. It's going to be soo hard to leave here.

So I totally wrote like a novel on here last night but something happened and I lost it all. I was angry and didn't feel like writing it back up. But I'm better now... so.. story time!Okay so leaving Honduras wsa very hard. I miss the guys sooo much. But our last night there was Amazing! Us girls and a few of the Baxter guys went to the mall for dinner. We went to pizza hut and were just having a good time. And Gabriel decided it would be a grand idea to tell the waiter it was my birthday. So like 6 guys that work there came out and were like "who's Teresa? and so everyone pointed to me. The waiters made me stand up and I had to dance with a guy that worked there while the rest of them sang to me. It was sooo embassassing! but it was also fun and nice to celebrate my birthday with them, even if it was early. But now we're in Costa Rica and we're having a blast! We went to Jaco Beach Sunday and left there around 3pm yesterday. Now we're in San Jose which is a much bigger city. We celebrated my birthday at Jaco beach and it was SOO much fun! We went horseback riding in the rainforest, lunch and swimming at the hotel, Cara, Rachel, Rebecca and I took pictures on the beach, everyone dressed up for dinner, and The hotel restraunt made a birthday cake for me. It was an amazing day!Yesterday, Autumn, Rachel, Whitney and I went ziplinning in the rainforest! it was SOOO much fun! our guides were hilarious!!! Then we just chilled by the pool and had a late lunch at the hotel.Today, Most of the group went to tour a coffee platation and see a inactive volcano. But, Rebecca, Lisa, Rachel and I decided to stay behide and take a day to relax before we return to the states. I can't believe I'll be home tomorrow. It's very bitter sweet.FYI Costa Rican coffee is amazing! I think I'm addicted... lolCan't wait to talk to everyone! Thanks for all the birthday wishes!Teresa

I arrived home around midnight June 12th/13th after a crazy day. We left our hotel at 4:50am on the 12th to go to the airport in San Jose, Costa Rica. I took a 2 hour nap on the flight to Dallas. Once we arrived in Dallas we had about an hour to clear immagration, go through customs, recheck baggage, and go through security. Most of the group paired off into travel buddies. Rachel and I after clearing security has to literally run through the Dallas airport to get to our terminal before the flight left. As we reached the gate they were giving the final call. We realized that most of our group was still clearing security. So, we told the lady that there were 7 more people coming because we thought we were the first ones.Much to our surprise Rebecca and Autumn had beat us to the flight. But everyone else was no where to be seen. The rest of the group ended up missing the flight. They had to rent a car and drive from Dallas to OKC. As we received our luggage, I only found one of my two bags. The other bag had not made the flight. So my parents and I had to wait around OKC until the next flight came in. We didn't get my bag until about 9:30pm. After we got my bag, we headed over to Don and Marcia's house to drop off my journal and Autumn's bag. And to pick up an evaluation I had to fill out. after that we stopped for some snacks and caffine and headed home. Like I said before, We didn't arrive home until around midnight.
I'm sorry that I have just now updated this. I hope you have enjoyed reading. I'll return with another blog on my next trip and hopefully I'll remember my password and be able to update as I go.
Thanks for all your support!
